At the President's banquet for attendees at the G20 Summit, an image of Nalanda University serves as the backdrop.

India has set the bar for other nations to follow through the use of the image of the Nalanda Mahavihara, which also features the G20 emblem on one side and the slogan of the country's G20 presidency, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" - One Earth. One Family. One Future" -- on the other.

The G20 delegates were welcomed by President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a formal dinner she gave on September 9. The backdrop for the welcome area featured a picture of the historic monastic university Nalanda Mahavihara (also known as Nalanda University).

According to information, the mahavihara, which is located in present-day Bihar, was active from the fifth to the twelfth centuries. The history of the university goes back to the time of Mahavira and Buddha, demonstrating the development of learning and knowledge distribution in prehistoric India.

India has established the standard for other nations to follow through the use of the image of the Nalanda Mahavihara, which also features the G20 emblem on one side and the slogan of the country's G20 presidency, "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" – One Earth. One Family. One Future" – on the other.

At the entrance location's gorgeously decorated Bharat Mandapam, with the Nalanda Mahavihara in the background, President Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi both welcomed the heads of state and other leaders.

Several G20 leaders, including Rishi Sunak, the prime minister of the United Kingdom, were seen with the prime minister as he discussed the significance of the university.

The administrators pointed out that Nalanda University embraces diversity, meritocracy, freedom of thought, group governance, autonomy, and knowledge sharing—all of which are fundamental democratic values.

In keeping with India's G20 Presidency theme, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Nalanda is a living example of the country's unwavering dedication to superior education and the creation of a peaceful global community.

The Delhi Declaration, which the G20 group adopted earlier in the day and which saw agreement reached on all topics, including the contentious Russia-Ukraine problem, was a historic victory for India's presidency.

All of the participating nations endorsed the Delhi Declaration, which was released on the first day of the summit and covered topics like accelerating the progress of sustainable development goals, reforming multilateral development institutions, and reviving multilateralism.

Regarding the conflict in Ukraine, the G20 leaders reaffirmed their national positions and resolutions passed by the UN Security Council and UN General Assembly. They also emphasised that all states must act in accordance with the full text of the UN Charter's purposes and tenets.

The leaders emphasised the significance of maintaining food and energy security while simultaneously calling for a "cessation of military destruction or other attacks on relevant infrastructure."
